Purpose
This Accessory Warranty outlines the coverage provided by Tech-Eyes Canada Limited for eligible accessories purchased through our authorized sales channels. It is intended to assure customers that accessories sold by Tech-Eyes Canada Limited meet our quality standards and are protected against manufacturing defects under normal, intended use. This document sets out warranty eligibility, customer and company responsibilities, claim procedures, exclusions, and other terms that apply to accessory purchases. It should be read together with our Warranty Policy, Return Policy, and Shipping Policy, as well as any applicable manufacturer warranty documentation.
Definition of “Eligible Accessory”
An “Eligible Accessory” is any accessory purchased from Tech-Eyes Canada Limited through an authorized retail location, our official website, or another approved sales channel, and for which warranty coverage is provided either under this Accessory Warranty or under the manufacturer’s own warranty terms.
The following items are not considered eligible accessories unless Tech-Eyes Canada Limited states otherwise in writing at the time of sale:
Products marked and sold as final sale or clearance.
Promotional or complimentary giveaway items.
Consumable components specifically excluded from warranty coverage.
Products explicitly identified as carrying no warranty at the point of purchase.
If you’re unsure whether a specific accessory qualifies for coverage, check your receipt or order confirmation, or reach out to our support team before making a claim.
Customer Acceptance of Product Condition
We encourage customers to inspect accessories as soon as they’re purchased or received. If no defect is reported within the applicable return or warranty period, the accessory is generally considered to have arrived in acceptable condition. This does not affect any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable Canadian law, which continue to apply regardless of this provision.
Customer Responsibilities
To keep your accessory eligible for warranty coverage, and to help us process any claim efficiently, customers are responsible for:
Use the accessory exactly as the manufacturer says it should be used and only for what it was made for.
Make sure the device you are using with the accessory is compatible before you start using it, and do not try to pair it with items that are not supported or that do not work well with it.
Follow the instructions for charging, pairing, and installing the accessory.
Keep the accessory in a place where it will not get too hot, too damp, or be in direct sunlight.
Be careful with the accessory. Try not to drop it, spill anything on it, or destroy it.
Avoid unauthorized repairs, disassembly, or third-party servicing of the product.
Keep the receipt and the original box for the accessory for as long as the warranty lasts.
Registering the product with the manufacturer where such registration is required or recommended for warranty purposes.
Reporting a suspected manufacturing defect promptly once it is discovered, rather than continuing to use a product believed to be faulty.
Providing accurate and complete information when submitting a warranty claim and cooperating with any reasonable requests for supporting documentation.
Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect Tech-Eyes Canada Limiteds’ ability to process a warranty claim or could result in a claim being declined.
Tech-Eyes Canada Limited Responsibilities
In turn, Tech-Eyes Canada Limited commits to:
Assessing every warranty claim fairly and in good faith.
Examining reported faults in a reasonable manner and, as needed, in accordance with the manufacturer’s diagnostic instructions.
Confirming warranty eligibility by checking the evidence of purchase, product condition and warranty terms.
Honoring approved claims through repair, replacement, manufacturer referral, or another appropriate resolution.
Clearly and timely communicating claim decisions.
Directing customers to the appropriate manufacturer process where a product is covered directly by the original manufacturer rather than by Tech-Eyes.
Claim Submission Procedure
To submit a warranty claim, the following steps must be completed:
The issue and details must be communicated to Tech-Eyes Canada Limited support.
Help us by providing your proof of purchase, which may be the original receipt, an invoice, or a digital order confirmation.
Send the accessory for inspection, in person at an approved location, or ship it according to the instructions from our support team.
Help us with the accessory’s serial number/tool and with pictures that describe your issue when you are asked.
Once the claim is received, Tech-Eyes Canada Limited will inspect the product, verify the purchase, assess the reported defect against warranty eligibility, and communicate the proposed resolution before any repair, replacement, or manufacturer referral is finalized.
Customer Acknowledgement of Inspection Results
By submitting a claim, customers acknowledge that final warranty eligibility is determined following Tech-Eyes Canada Limited, their inspection or, where the product falls under manufacturer coverage, the manufacturer’s own assessment. Submitting a claim does not guarantee approval; the outcome is based on the inspection findings and the terms of the applicable warranty.
Warranty Claim Timeframe
Customers should submit a claim as soon as reasonably possible after a suspected defect is discovered. Waiting too long to report an issue can make it harder for us to inspect the product accurately or determine the underlying cause of failure, and may affect the outcome of a claim where permitted under applicable law.
No Cash Settlement
Except where required by applicable consumer protection legislation, this warranty does not entitle customers to cash compensation in place of repair, replacement, or another remedy approved by Tech-Eyes Canada Limited or the manufacturer. Approved claims are resolved through the remedies described in this policy, not through refunds issued outside of our standard Return Policy.
Accessories Damaged During Shipping
If received accessories are damaged, complaints should be filed in accordance with our Shipment Policy rather than submitting a warranty claim. Damaged accessories during shipment are different from manufacturing defects. To resolve claims for shipment-damaged accessories, we may request that you provide pictures, retain the damaged packaging, perform an inspection of the shipment, or use any other method we deem necessary.
Compatibility Disclaimer
Prior to purchase, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the accessory is compatible with the chosen device. Although Tech-Eyes Canada Limited may provide advice about compatibility where practicable, this warranty does not cover problems that occur solely due to the use of the accessory with an incompatible device.
Battery-Based Accessories
Rechargeable products, including power banks, wireless earbuds, wireless headphones, and smartwatches, naturally lose some battery capacity over time due to normal charging cycles. This gradual capacity loss is expected behavior and is not, by itself, treated as a manufacturing defect, unless the applicable manufacturer’s warranty states otherwise.
Hygiene Products
For hygiene and health reasons, certain personal accessories such as earbuds and other in-ear audio products may carry additional restrictions on return or replacement once the packaging has been opened. These restrictions do not apply where the product is confirmed to be defective, or where applicable law requires otherwise.
Warranty Transferability
Unless Tech-Eyes Canada Limited or the original manufacturer states otherwise, this warranty applies only to the original purchaser. It does not automatically transfer to a new owner if the accessory is resold, gifted, or otherwise transferred.
Customer Communication
Tech-Eyes Canada Limited will do its best to keep customers informed throughout the warranty claim process, including inspection results, requests for additional documentation, manufacturer referrals, replacement availability, and the final decision. Updates will be made available via the contact information or communication method provided with the claim.
