1. Purpose
The Tech-REPAiR Repair Warranty applies to eligible repair services performed by Tech-Eyes Canada Limited. It covers defects directly related to the workmanship or eligible replacement parts used during the original repair.
This warranty applies only to the repair work performed by Tech-Eyes and does not constitute a warranty for the entire device. It is subject to the applicable warranty period, these Terms & Conditions, and any rights available to customers under applicable Canadian consumer protection laws.
2. Warranty Period
Eligible repairs are covered for the warranty period specified on the customer's invoice or repair receipt.
The warranty begins on the date the repair is completed or the repaired device is returned to the customer, as specified by Tech-Eyes' applicable policy.
The applicable warranty period may vary depending on the repair performed, replacement part, or service provided.
3. What the Warranty Covers
The warranty covers defects directly resulting from the original repair, including:
Faulty workmanship;
Improper installation or assembly of a replacement component; and
Defects in eligible replacement parts supplied and installed by Tech-Eyes.
The reported issue must be directly related to the original repair and occur during the applicable warranty period.
For example, a screen replacement warranty does not cover a later battery failure if the battery was not part of the original repair.
4. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover:
Accidental damage, including drops or impacts;
Liquid or water damage;
Damage caused by excessive force, misuse, neglect, or improper handling;
Electrical surges, fire, or other external events;
Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage;
Software issues unrelated to the original repair;
Hardware failures involving components that were not repaired or replaced by Tech-Eyes;
Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or attempted self-repair;
Modification of the repaired component; or
Damage occurring after another repair provider opens, modifies, or services the device.
5. Warranty Claim & Inspection
Customers requesting warranty service should return the repaired device to Tech-Eyes and provide proof of the original repair, such as an invoice, receipt, digital service record, or other documentation.
Where proof of purchase is unavailable, Tech-Eyes may verify the repair using its internal records, repair history, serial number, IMEI, or other identifying information.
All warranty claims are subject to technical inspection and diagnostic assessment. Submission of a claim does not automatically establish warranty coverage.
Tech-Eyes may inspect the repaired component, perform diagnostic testing, review the original repair records, and request reasonable additional information to determine whether the reported issue is related to the original repair.
Customers must cooperate with reasonable diagnostic requirements, including making the device available for inspection and removing activation or security locks where required.
6. Warranty Resolution
If Tech-Eyes determines that the reported issue is covered by this warranty, Tech-Eyes may, at its reasonable discretion and subject to applicable law:
Repair the affected issue;
Replace the defective component; or
Provide another appropriate warranty remedy.
The remedy will be determined based on the nature of the issue, technical feasibility, availability of replacement parts, and practicality of the repair.
Warranty service for an approved claim will generally be provided without additional labour charges.
7. Repeat Warranty Repairs
If the same repaired component experiences another warranty-related failure during the applicable warranty period, Tech-Eyes may determine the appropriate remedy based on the repair history, technical findings, component availability, and applicable law.
A warranty repair does not automatically restart, renew, or extend the original warranty period unless Tech-Eyes expressly confirms otherwise in writing.
8. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
Providing accurate information when submitting a warranty claim;
Providing reasonable proof or information needed to verify the original repair;
Making the repaired device available for inspection;
Cooperating with reasonable diagnostic procedures;
Removing activation locks where required for diagnostics; and
Backing up personal data before submitting the device for inspection or warranty service.
Tech-Eyes will take reasonable care during inspection and repair but cannot guarantee the preservation of personal data.
9. Device Collection & Customer Inspection
Customers are encouraged to inspect the repaired device and verify the repaired function when collecting the device or promptly after delivery.
Reporting a concern after collection does not automatically exclude the issue from warranty coverage. Any reported issue will be assessed according to the applicable warranty terms and inspection findings.
10. No Cash Settlement
Except where required by applicable law, this warranty does not provide a right to cash compensation, refunds, or monetary settlements in place of an available warranty remedy.
11. Parts & Product Availability
Where a replacement part is required, Tech-Eyes will make reasonable efforts to source a compatible part.
Warranty service may be delayed where replacement parts are unavailable, discontinued, backordered, delayed in shipping, or otherwise unavailable due to circumstances beyond Tech-Eyes' reasonable control.
12. Customer Communication
Tech-Eyes will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed regarding warranty inspections, requests for additional information, repair progress, replacement part availability, and final warranty decisions.
13. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Repair Warranty is intended to limit or exclude any rights or remedies that customers may have under applicable Canadian consumer protection laws.
