Warranty Policy


Customer satisfaction matters to us at Tech-Eyes. This policy sets out how warranty coverage, returns, exchanges, and refunds work for anything you buy through techeyes.ca, and it's built around the consumer protection standards that apply across Canada. Take a few minutes to go through it before filing a claim -meeting these conditions is what makes a request eligible for processing. 

1. Limited Warranty Coverage 

Products sold by Tech-Eyes carry a limited manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the purchase date, unless the product listing states otherwise. If a defect is confirmed during that window, we'll repair the unit, swap it for an equivalent model, or issue store credit -whichever makes sense once our technicians have inspected it and confirmed the fault is a manufacturing issue, not something caused by the user. 

Warranty T&C: Coverage is limited to genuine manufacturing defects under normal use; it doesn't cover cosmetic wear, accidental damage, liquid exposure, or damage from unauthorized repairs. 

2. Return Policy 

  • Return T&C: Products must come back in their original packaging, along with the receipt as proof of purchase. 

  • Bundle T&C: If your order included a screen protector or charging cable, those need to be returned along with the device. 

  • Statutory T&C: Canadian consumer protection law requires returns to be initiated within 14 calendar days of purchase. 

3. Exchange Policy 

  • Exchange T&C: The same rules that apply to returns apply here -original packaging, the product itself, a valid receipt, and any bundled accessories (screen protector, charging cable) all need to be included. 

4. Refund Policy 

  • Refund T&C: We inspect the device first; once that's done, refunds go back through the original payment method, calculated on the pre-tax purchase price. 

5. What's Not Covered 

A few things fall outside warranty, return, exchange, or refund eligibility: 

  • Damage from misuse, negligence, unauthorized modification, or repairs done by someone other than Tech-Eyes. 

  • Products with a removed, altered, or unreadable serial number. 

  • Normal wear and tear, including batteries that have simply aged past their rated capacity. 

  • Damage caused by incorrect voltage, power surges, or non-certified chargers and cables. 

  • Items bought through resellers or marketplaces we haven't authorized. 

6. Your Statutory Rights 

Nothing in this policy takes away from the rights you already have under Canadian law -federal legislation like the Sale of Goods Act, along with your province's Consumer Protection Act. Those laws guarantee that products are of reasonable quality and fit for their intended use, and that guarantee can't be signed away in a store policy. If anything here ever conflicts with those statutory protections, the law wins. 

7. Limitation of Liability 

Where the law allows it, Tech-Eyes' responsibility under this policy stops at repairing, replacing, or refunding the product itself. We're not liable for indirect or knock-on costs -lost data, lost use of the device, lost profits, and so on -except in cases where the law says we can't limit that liability. 

8. Governing Law 

This policy is governed by the laws of the Canadian province where the purchase was made, along with applicable federal law. If a disagreement comes up, we'd rather work it out directly with you before anything gets formal. 

9. Processing Times 

Inspections and refunds both take a bit of time. Once a returned or exchanged item reaches us, give our team a few business days to inspect it, and give your bank a few more to post the refund -that part's really up to your financial institution, not us. 

10. A Few Other Things 

We can decline a return, exchange, refund, or warranty claim if it doesn't meet the conditions above -an expired window, missing accessories, no receipt, or signs of misuse, for example. We may update this policy from time to time to stay current with Canadian consumer protection law.
